Clarifications on airports, pilot requirements and STS
Permission near airports, Norway’s alcohol rules and competency requirements when supervising young pilots have been clarified. STS now includes a buffer table, clearer technical requirements and new scenario questions. The updates are available in Norwegian and English.
New questions and lessons cover weather forecasts, flight performance, battery data, payloads, route selection and ground risk. You can practise each subject area separately. The A2 mock exam divides 30 questions equally between the three subjects as a learning framework.
Answer options and unclear scenarios have been revised. Theory on insurance, height, A2 separation and STS has been clarified. Full STS practice covers eight subject areas, with weather and technical content clearly shown as shared subjects.
The workflow, ConOps, GRC, ARC, SAIL, OSOs and supporting application documentation have been reviewed against Luftfartstilsynet and EASA guidance for SORA 2.5.
EASA Opinion 06/2026 – traceability from 100 grams
The proposal for identity checks, registration and direct remote identification from 100 grams, the proposed take-off lockout and changes to UAS geographical zones have been recorded for follow-up. Answer keys and operational guidance have not been changed because the proposal has not been adopted or implemented in Norway.
